Michael
A. Feldman is the President and Chief Executive Officer
of Harry R. Feldman, Inc., a leading professional land
surveying firm in Massachusetts. Michael is the visionary
for his family-owned company where he drives the future
direction and oversees the daily operations. Previously
run by Michael’s father and grandfather, Harry R.
Feldman, Inc. has continued to be successful through Michael’s
insistence on superb client service and the use of cutting
edge technologies. A believer in leading by example, Michael
uses a hands-on approach in overseeing projects, ensuring
they meet the high standards set by every client.
Under
Michael’s leadership, Harry R. Feldman, Inc. has
been recognized by the Boston Business Journal’s
lists, including “Pacesetters,” “Fastest
Growing Companies” and as one of the area’s
largest family-owned businesses. His dedication to investing
in new technologies has earned the business a reputation
as the “go to” firm for emerging practices
such as 3D laser scanning and BIM. Harry R. Feldman, Inc.’s
success with this emerging market has attracted positive
media attention from The Boston Globe, Associated Press,
CBS Evening News, NECN, as well as the Discovery Channel.
Michael
supports many regional charities and non-profits including
Friends of Boston’s Homeless, Victim Rights Law
Center, Dana-Farber, American Heart Association, Multiple
Sclerosis, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Boston
Area Rape Crisis Center, as well as many others. Additionally,
in an effort to give back to the rich history of the City
of Boston, Michael founded the program “Scanning
Historic Boston.” His firm performs 3D Laser Scanning
of three historically significant buildings each year,
on a pro-bono basis, to create a 3D, digital archive of
Boston’s historic architectural treasures. Michael
is also on the Board of Overseers of the Newton-Wellesley
Hospital.
Before
joining Harry R. Feldman, Inc., Michael worked for EF
Education, a large, multi-national educational travel
firm, where his new division achieved triple digit growth
within the first three years. His travels included most
of Western Europe, Morocco, Eastern Europe, the Caribbean,
Alaska, as well as most of the Continental United States.
Michael
graduated from The George Washington University in Washington,
D.C. with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
A
music enthusiast and percussionist, Michael studied Latin
percussion with teachers at the Berklee College of Music
and in Cuba, and he has played with various musical groups
in the U.S. and abroad.
Among
all of Michael’s career accomplishments and outside
interests, his true dedication and joy is spending time
with his wife, Karen, and his two kids, Lila and Alex.
